The World’s Greatest Money Maker: Evan Davis meets Warren Buffett – 6 of 6

Warren Buffett is the greatest investor of all time. His decisions about buying shares and companies have beaten the stock market year after year and made him the richest person in the world – thought to be worth 37 billion dollars. Yet Buffett lives modestly in his native Omaha, in America’s mid-West, and runs his 150 billion dollar business with a staff of just twenty. Evan Davis meets him to find out about his unique investment strategy and his eccentric lifestyle. He talks to Buffett’s family, friends and colleagues about the man they call the Sage of Omaha, and Buffett’s friend Bill Gates praises his philosophy of life. As the greed of the super-wealthy is widely criticised in the current financial crisis, Davis asks whether Warren Buffett is the acceptable face of the filthy rich.

  • @Negron1982 We’ll see. I bet you he will lose money on Goldman, or he will be saved by his powers of persuasion once again. SEC is bringing up charges against the firm.

Stay away from Wall Street, that’s a rule he should have stuck with.

  • Please Accept my apologies for my toughness,I heard about $2.5 billion of unrealized gains but buffett said he’d like to hold them until expiration date so it’s pretty pointless to assess the value of his stake right now

  • @LinkinPark640 – My number was a quick estimate. Buffet invested about 5 bill when GS was about about $114.00 a share at 10% div. That’s all. What number did you come up with?

Also, this reply was sent with respect…..

  • craps, these are unrealized gains and where the hell did you get the $9.2 Billions figure ???

  • He won’t give his granddaughter any money. Cheap ass

  • As of 4/8/10, Berkshire made about 9.2 billion by investing 5 billion in Goldman Sachs. NICE!

  • whats the piano song around 7:00

  • thanks for this

  • u can learn tons of lessons from the masters, but there’s a golden rule: great successes are unrepeatable, you got to find your own ways

  • “i’m not lucky because I’ve got a rich dad, I’m lucky because I’ve got him”

  • he said: it’s based on the analysis of the fundamentals (of the financial instruments). so, it’s not speculation

  • Buffett’s money is all blessed!!!

  • Did they not have the heart to tell Charlie Munger that he had a massive booger hanging out of his nose before they interviewed him?

  • Yeah I wonder what will happen to Berkshire Hathaway they day Warren Buffett dies, will the stock plummet 50% in a day? I think that it is really the simple fact that its sucess has been built on the almost supernatural investment skill of Buffett and Munger, there just isn’t anyone who could come in and replace him. Short Berkshire bigtime.

  • What I learned:
    Insurance + Customers = Premiums
    Premiums + Investment = Profit
Profit + Claims = Denied Coverage
Denied Coverage + President = Health Care Reform

  • Warren Buffet is known not to do business directly with niggers………………..it’s in the wall street journal so go blame Warren that other brokers stay clear of niggers on Wall Street

  • I believe they have the same degenerative disease, which may be the reason.

  • Does everything have to be about race? Just enjoy the documentary and stop spewing your racist puke and vitriolic language. For your information there are many successful African-Americans on Wall Street, open a copy of Black Enterprise Magazine and you will find out. And while you’re at it pick up a dictionary and learn how to spell.

  • Niggers are not wanted on Wall Strret and never will be………..@capital in another life you may be lucky but in this life you were not

@COLTCOMANDER The nasty language you use is indicative of your intellect which is lacking. I don’t need to know you in order to know about you. You reveal yourself through your use of adolescent language. You’ve told everyone here exactly who you are and what you’re all about. No go on and continue on being a complete loser.

  • @capitalismforever… It is amazing how you think you know about my personal life witch tells me you are a dip shit that runs around with a vodoo doll making everyone around you want to puke…………….fuck off poor nigger I understand who you are and what you are now

  • capitalismforever

@COLTCOMANDER Interesting given the fact of Warren’s history and massive donations to the black communities of America. I suggest you get informed and stop spreading disinformation in order to exclude yourself from further nonsensical bantering. God bless and use your brain – we’ve all received one and that’s one thing you can’t complain about not receiving.

@COLTCOMANDER YOU, personally, will never amount to anything – financially or otherwise. So, just enjoy the video, take what you can get from it, and move on with your cowardly life.
