In general I’m using your kids college money to go and have fun, while you ship me your business. And I dont have to come to US because not everything in the world revolves around US. I myself am a homeowner. I’m 28 and have a 5000 sqft house fully paid off in the capital city. It was built for around 100K US$.Including the plot. I dont have loans or mortgages to pay. That is what american dollars enabled me to do. So you see it’s not paper/ How many people in america own their houses at my age, let alone 5000 sqft houses. I drive a luxury car and guess what i work as a software engineer and earn 1500 US$ a month. I dont have to worry about the roof over my head.
Thas is why thos countries were not affected by recession, because once you own your house and you car, there is little to work for anymore. The culture is different. It’s more of a culture of necessity. If you dont have a critical use for a thing then you dont buy it. That’s why Apple products do poorly in Europe. Most of the worlds Open Source projects come from Europe. Linux, PHP etc. Because the culture says if you dont need it then offer it for free and just hope for something in return.
